Presentation by high school students from Japan
On August 7, Consul General Yamada attended a panel discussion event of the 5th TOMODACHI SoftBank Leadership Program. Since its start in 2012, this program has invited to the United States 700 high school students from the affected areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Consul General Yamada, who joined the panel discussion as one of the four panel members, expressed his appreciation to everyone who made this program happen and asked the 100 high school students from Japan this year to contribute to strengthening US-Japan ties in the future. At the event, four participating students made presentations on their action plans for revitalization of their communities.
